[Pkg-rust-maintainers] IRC meeting - call for date voting

The debian-rust team will be holding an IRC meeting, and we would like
to allow as many people with interest to be able to participate. Please
leave your vote for a date and time on the framadate site [0] if you
want us to find the date that fits for you. Once the date is fixed, it
will be announced on the mailing list.

The main topic to discuss is how to break out of the situation we
currently have with many packages stuck in NEW, and several people being
demotivated - members of both the debian-rust as well as the ftpmasters
team. A rather good summary of the situation can be found in the
archives of this mailinglist [1].

There is a proposal [2] for implementing functionality in debcargo that
would allow collapsing many features into a single binary package, which
might help in this situation, but there is no consent on whether it's
the proper way forward.

Best regards,
Wolfgang.
