Hi

I joined the rust team during the bullseye cycle, because the state of
rust in testing had deteriorated to a point that is was causing problems
for my downstream distribution. I've put quite a bit of effort into
getting the rust ecosystem in testing back into shape and then keeping
it that way. I've learnt some rust along the way but I'm far from a
rust expert.

My focus has been on Packages that are used by applications in testing,
if something is not in testing it tends not to be on my radar. If a
library is in testing but not used by any application's I'll generally
have a stab at fixing it but will consider removal to be a reasonable
option as well. Still i'm open to fixing other packages *if* I know
someone wants them.

Is there a particular program you are trying to package (or to fix the
existing package for) that is driving these NMUs? do you have a list
of rust packages you want/need fixing to enable that work?
