I discussed this with Jochen on IRC and we agreed that after bookworm release we would upgrade the
remainig rustcrypto packages and bump this up to serious.

If someone wants to fix this by introducing yet more semver-suffixed packages, I can't/won't
stop them, but I'd really rather see it fixed by the code being updated to work with newer
dependencies.
