If you allow me give my perspective from an outsider: the monorepo 
thingy for crates is the only place in Debian where I've seen it, and 
it's *VERY* confusing. Plus there are many reasons where one may want to 
package something in a different team, so IMO it's not a good idea.

Plus what if some project hold a multi-language thing, like rust and 
another language, as source package, and then we need to generate 
multiple binaries? (real-life thingy, but can't remember which package)

Just my 2 cents... :P
