The named maintainer of this package hasn't touched it since 2019, since then
it's been kept alive by team uploads, mostly by me, but there has been an
upstream a package split, and at least I'm personally very reluctant to introduce
new packages unless it's a package I personally care about. Backporting this
stack of fixes also seems like more than I'm willing to get myself into.

You already seem to be a member of the rust team, so feel free to backport
the patches and make a team upload. Otherwise I think this is going to
get autoremoved.
