Package: sqv
Version: 1.2.1-6+b1
Severity: normal

Debian Policy 3.4.2 has this to say about the extended package
description:

> The extended description should describe what the package does and how
> it relates to the rest of the system (in terms of, for example, which
> subsystem it is which part of).
>
> The description field needs to make sense to anyone, even people who
> have no idea about any of the things the package deals with.

sqv's extended description currently is:
> This package contains the following binaries built from the Rust crate
> "sequoia-sqv":
> - sqv

I do not believe this meets the standard set by Policy, neither its
letter, nor its spirit, as it's generally a not very useful package
description IMHO.

I understand that this is is symptomatic of this having been packaged
through debcargo, and I'm quite sympathetic to the Rust packagers -- I,
understand that the only way the Rust ecosystem can be packaged is
through extensive automation and reducing manual labor and handcrafted
control files to the minimum.

At the same time, sqv is now part of the base system through apt, and
not just another random low-level crate. It think it'd be nice to go the
extra mile for at least add a proper description to at least popular or
commonly-used packages.

Thanks!
Faidon
