I'll work a bit more on it during the weekend (updating doc and minor stuff), 
but to avoid blocking you I just committed a bunch of fixes for alpha2, so 
it's +1 on my side.
 
Summary of my changes is:
 * squashing your alpha2 changelog entries together
 * setting back revision to -0~exp1
 * respecting 'nocheck' in DEB_BUILD_OPTIONS

I will wait for this upload and queue other commits later for next revision.
Angus too has some doc changes to merge, but I think nothing high priority 
left, correct?
