[Pkg-salt-team] Ubuntu packaging and repository location

I don't understand that point.

What exactly would be the benefit having the ubuntu package as well?
This would IMO just create problems. Import a patch if necessary and
be done but don't mirror the whole repository.

Why should upstream provide a debian directory anyway? It is not in the
released tarballs...


Just to get a better understanding, what exactly is the problem we want to solve?
