Just in case there was any confusion, I concur with vorlon.  In
particular as regards 'os level', which should never be tampered with.

My other problem is that all this makes people create large, long
smb.conf files, with mostly default options, but some odd choices
because they sounded like a good idea.  *Then* they complain it doesn't
work...
