I deleted all nt* files in /var/lib/samba and tried the following:
I added 2 printers to cups, same model, but different name.
For one printer I added some drivers to samba, but not for the other one.
Then I installed both printers on the windows machine. The printer with the
drivers on the printserver used that drivers and installed the printer.
The printer without drivers on the samba machine asked for drivers and I
located them on the print$ share. So both printers are using the same
drivers, but only one printer is using the driver automatic installed with
samba.
Then I opened the property pages. For the printer WITHOUT automatic driver
installation everything worked fine. But the other one caused explorer
crashes and crazy values again.
