This seems unlikely, since -3sarge10 includes the upstream change from
3.0.27a and several users who were experiencing this problem confirmed that
-3sarge10 fixed the issue for them before I published this update.

Can you stop and start smbd to to confirm that there wasn't an error
upgrading the package?  If the problem persists after restarting smbd, can
you send a local (ls -lA) listing of a directory showing this problem, along
with an indication of the files/directories that don't appear when viewed
remotely?
