Bug #396226 is ameliorated but not fixed as of 3.0.28-1. Samba still
messes with ACLs, but it no longer locks people out from editing the
file. The following is the result of user 'test' editing a file
originally owned by user 'waoki':
-rw-rwx---+ 1 test visitorservices 19968 Dec 29 17:50 problem test.doc
# file: problem\040test.doc
# owner: test
# group: visitorservices
user::rw-
user:waoki:rw-
group::rw-
mask::rwx
other::---
Unfortunately, Samba bug #4398 has reared its ugly head, and I had to
set 'msdfs root=no' explicitly on the [homes] share and reboot all my
Windows clients. (I'm adding this note so that others who try this will
realize why clients can't map [homes].)
