Oh, now I understand why I reported with a patch to the generated
manpages.

So far, the manpages provided in the samba tarball do not include the
XML source, which explains why I proposed a patch to the manpages
themselves.

My suggestion probably breaks the current release process of the Sama
Team, but would it be possible to provide the source XML files in the
samba distribution tarball?

That would make easier for us to propose fix for things like Debian
bug #408508 (http://bugs.debian.org/408508, invalid man pages).

I also still have a plan, back in my mind, to propose you some i18n
for samba man pages, using gettext. We're already doing this for many
Debian-only utilities and software, with great success and without the
usual drawback of translated manpages (translations lagging behind the
English version).

Something we could probably discuss at SambaXP, which I'll probably
manage to attend again this year.
