Sorry, that's overestimated.
winbind and samba works for dozens of users all around so that bug
does not deserve that severity.

Please at least try upgrading to 3.0.30 as soon as it enters testing
(as you seem to be using testing).
I have no idea if that may fix the problem or not, though.
