[Pkg-samba-maint] Bug#462543: Same problem: samba cannot access cups printers

I have just upgraded to the latest samba in lenny and I cannot access any cups
printers.

If I include the lines:

   load printers = yes
   printing = cups
   printcap name = cups

in my smb.conf then no printers are set up.  The smb.log file shows no obvious
errors.

If I change the lines to read:

   load printers = yes
   printing = cups
   printcap name = /var/run/cups/printcap

then the following error is repeated continuously in log.smbd:

[2008/06/12 23:18:29, 0] printing/print_cups.c:cups_queue_get(801)
  Unable to get jobs for ipp://localhost/printers/Epson_R265 - client-error-bad-request

The cups error log shows:

Note that I can print if I change the config to:

   load printers = yes
   printing = bsd
   printcap name = /var/run/cups/printcap
