Package: samba
Version: 2:3.2.0~rc2-1
Severity: normal

Quoting John H Terpstra (jht at samba.org):

This is just an omission, indeed.

So, let's report this against the package. We should add the following
to one of our binary packages:

ldbadd, ldbsearch, ldbdel, ldbmodify, ldbedit, ldbrename, ldbtest,
oLschema2ldif(?)

We could add them to samba-tools which already includes smbtorture
msgtest masktest locktest locktest2 nsstest vfstest pdbtest talloctort
replacetort tdbtorture smbconftort.

And we could have samba "Suggests:" samba-tools if ldb tools are
important to manage Samba 3.2 servers.

If ldb utilities are more important, then we should probably include
them in the samba-common package (if they're relevant to both samba
and smbclient) or samba (if they're relevant only for samba)

So, John, you are definitely not smoking any flavour of natural
substance with interesting side-effects.
