Not that easy, frankly speaking.

You could try to backport the current package of lenny but you'd have
to do it yourself as, afaik, noone has backported samba 3.2.* lenny
packages for Etch (maybe look on backports.debian.org...who knows?).

Getting back to the etch package would also to be done without
guarantee that it will work out of the box....
