Hi Christian,

We have found that openldap seems to be returning 0 (LDAP_SUCCESS) under
timeout cases. Additional information can be found at:

Jeremy Allison has proposed a more general patch that includes a check
inside ldap_search_with_timeout:

I'll try to rebuild debian samba packages applying the patch to see if
this solves the issue.
