If you want to build it as cleanly as possible, the best to do is:

- apt-get source samba
- dpkg-checkbuilddeps
- install whatever is needed to build

cd samba-3.2.5
quilt push -a
quilt new 522907.patch
quilt add source/libads/ldap.c

<apply the patch>

quilt refresh
quilt pop -a

dch -n 2:3.2.5-4lenny2~test1

<document the change>

dpkg-buildpackage

(well, the really best way would be building in a chroot, but I won't
add that hassle to you..:-))

Thanks a lot for your help tracking this down. It's much appreciated
when users even try to mess up with prod' environments to help us and
upstream fixing nasty bugs.
