I'm already OK to fix stable and your initial bug report has been
placed in my TODO list. Thankfully, as the initial patch was not
complete enough and needed an update, it was good that I didn't rush
out..:-)

Given the loose availability I might have during the Christmas/New
Year break time and the fact that stable updates are better with a
pre-approval by the Stable Release managers, it is quite likely that
the update happens in January or so. In the meantime, it will be good
if you can monitor upstream bug and keep us posted with news, just as
you did (I will subscribe our generic package maintenance address to
the upstream bug as we do for all bugs that are linked to upstream
bugs, but just forgot to do so until now).
