[Pkg-samba-maint] How to Install samba

Hi,

I am new to ubuntu and i install ubuntu 8.10 desktop  edition on my Dell
Laptop and i am downloaded samba for ubuntu.

My question is how can i install samba on that with out any automatic
installation
