Sorry, still no luck. Running 3.3.4 now and the problem persists.

Ps. Christian, maybe you'd like to update the bug fields to 3.3.4 (I had also
tried 3.3.3 which was b0rken in the same way, fwiw). I can't because I'm not
the reporter.
