So, you just boot the Vista client, wait for the logon screen and
then...it freeze? Right?

Hmmm, can you  try upgrading to 3.3.4 which has just been uploaded to
unstable?

Also, what you can try is recording a level 10 debug log on the samba
server when such freeze happens.
