I've been thinking that Debian does a really great job of integrating
packages within a single system.
It also packages a lot of the enterprise software that you'd want to
cause a Debian system to be part of an enterprise infrastructure.
However, Debian is not so great at integrating a computer into a larger
infrastructure. Certainly we do that with Debian all the time, andthere
are even tools to help build solutions--debconf databases, parts of d-i,
fai, puppet, parts of samba, etc, etc.
However it's nothing like Windows in its simplicity.
Similarly, I think there could be more coordination between some of the
packages that are useful in enterprises.
Would people find it a useful use of their time to discuss these sorts
of issues? If so, I'd be happy to try and organize a BOF on this sort
of thing and actually have a more coherent plan by the conference.
However I'd like to get a couple of acks that this is worth thinking
about/attending before the registration deadline tomorrow.
