Sorry for coming back to you very late after you reported this bug.

I suspect it has been probably fixed in later version. To identify
this, would you try both following backports:

http://packages.debian.org/lenny-backports/samba
http://backports.org/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=instructions

3.4 versions of samba dramatically improved printing support. So,
there are chances that your problems are fixed in a more recent
version.

Also, note that some printer drivers are very well known to not be
working properly with Samba, mostly because of the awful weirdness of
the Windows printing protocols.

Also, I noticed your use of "use client driver". Please notice that
this parameter has known consequences well described in smb.conf(5)
and is completely discouraged to use if the server has a print share
which has valid print driver installed.

Would you mind coming back at us after fiddling with these more recent
versions and settings?
