I don't think we need the wrapper anymore, but the cifs-utils package wasn't
in Ubuntu 10.04 LTS; so it would be nice to keep the 'smbfs' transitional
package around until 12.04 LTS to give a smooth upgrade there. Of course,
if you feel strongly about dropping it from the Debian archive now, Ubuntu
can carry that as a delta.
