Hello Robert,

Thanks for your detailed report. Here, though it is interesting for us
and other users of the package to know about such problem in the
Debian BTS, I would suggest reporting the issue upstream in Samba's
bugzilla.

You have obviously detailed information and knowledge about your setup
so you're in the best position to investigate the problem with
upstream developers. Having us (samba pkg maintainers) acting as a
proxy will only make things more complicated.

If you're ready to do this, I guess that upstream devels might ask for
a level 10 debug log so be prepared to log megabytes of
information..:-)
