The repo at git://git.debian.org/git/pkg-samba/samba.git appears to also be
a full tree repo. Which is definitely what we want; pulling in a new
upstream version of samba will ideally (ultimately) be as easy as a 'git
merge' + some git-buildpackage magic to suck in the tarball releases for
pristine-tar.

At present, though, all Debian packaging changes should definitely be
confined to the debian/ directory (upstream changes via debian/patches), so
you should indeed only have to care about the debian dir.
