Hello.
Is it too early to report bugs on the samba4 package? I've tried using
the one in Experimental and the one the Inverse/SOGo guys have made (at
http://www.inverse.ca/debian/ for Squeeze) which is based on the
Experimental one.
The problems I'm seeing so far is that just apt-installing "samba4"
brings in some samba 3.x stuff (like samba-common) and doesn't include
the smbd binary or the /usr/lib//samba//vfs/acl_xattr.so file. (And 3.x
binaries are unsuitable. These must match the samba4 binary version.)
Same goes for /usr/lib/libwbclient.so.0.
Plus Samba 4.0.2 was just released yesterday (and 4.0.3 is due next
Tuesday.)
Thanks for your time and work! Looking forward to seeing Samba4 in
Debian mainstream!
Sincerely,
Sean M. Pappalardo
