We should get a notification when it is processed. The status of the new queue
can be seen on
http://ftp-master.debian.org/new.html

If you look at http://ftp-master.debian.org/stat.html, you'll see that the
queue is rather large, so it may take a while for it to get processed. That
shouldn't stop anyone from making other changes in git in the mean time...
