You can just run git-buildpackage with --git-no-pristine-tar. In that case,
you will get a different orig tarball, but as long as you're not uploading,
that doesn't really matter.

The new version of pristine-tar isn't in jessie yet (but it should be in a few
days). I could recreate the pristine-tar data on a wheezy system if you like.
