Hmmm, I just objected in some way in a previous message, not noticing
this one (my mails are arriving quite slowly).

However, I didn't have modern init systems in mind while doing my
"conservative" objection and you have a quite valid point about
upstart or systemd (doh, I know nothing about these beasts and I'll
soon look like a dinosaur).

So, well, let's go ahead...but we need to find a transition mechanism
for those people around who are using the samba Debian package for
ages and will mumble loudly when "/etc/init.d/samba start" doesn't
start the file and print services anymore (yeah, I know : that should
be "service samba start").
