[Pkg-samba-maint] Samba 4 questions

Hello.

Samba4 appears to be the answer I need for my network but I can't yet 
install it with confidence since the package in Wheezy is not up to date 
and the instructions to package my own 
(http://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba4/Debian) are not working for me.

Just two questions:

1) Why is there a separate "samba4" package? The Samba team told me that 
v4.0 is intended to upgrade v3.x.

2) Can you please update the Wheezy package (or do so in backports?)
