Honestly, it's quite some time since we haven't been giving this file
a look. 

Last time was while I was working on a kind of "big cleaning" of it,
trying to make it closer to upstream defaults....mostly by commenting
things that were there previously.

As your patch shows, a lot (if not all) o this is clearly outdated now
and sometimes  points to outdated information.

In short, I'm OK to apply everything from your patch. Or just leave it
up to you to apply it..:-)
