There was a problem with alioth, which blocked (almost) all mails. This was
resolved sunday evening (CET), so all mails before that were delayed until
then.

No. There are a lot of 'commit' mails, which are the result of the fact that I
changed the samba_4.0 branch to point to the commit from the samba_4.0_bubulle
branch. All the commits in between were mailed again. If you look at the
commit dates, you will see that these are old commits.

If somebody know hows to make the commit mailer less verbose (and more
relevant), please change it or point me to the right documentation).

The commit above was from some time ago, and I only did it to avoid having the
vfs modules twice after Christian added the vfs modules to samba. As Christian
agreed to have the original change reverted (to remove the modules from
samba), it's obvious that the above one needs to be reverted as well (which
you did by now, so that's fine).
