Package: samba
Version: 2:4.0.10+dfsg-2
Severity: important

Dear Maintainer,

I did a couple simple upgrade tests from wheezy -> jessie and here are
results I got.

If wheezy chroot has "samba" package install -> upgrade to jessie "samba"
succeeds.

If wheezy chroot has "samba4" package install, upon upgrade "samba4"
package is removed, but its replacement, "samba", is not installed.

If wheezy chroot has "samba" and "samba4" packages installed, upon upgrade,
both are removed and samba-common-bin is held back.

It seems to me that: "samba4", "samba4-common-bin", "samba4-clients",
"samba4-testsuite", "winbind4" dummy transitional packages should be
provided by the src:samba/jessie package, such that systems with all
combinations of installed binaries from (src:samba/wheezy,
src:samba4/wheezy) are upgraded/migrated to binary packages from
src:samba/jessie.

Regards,

Dmitrijs.
