Package: cifs-utils
Version: 2:6.4-1
Severity: normal
Tags: newcomer

/etc/fstab includes:
//192.168.12.201/vol1   /home/xx/vol1   cifs
uid=1000,umask=000,credentials=/usr/local/etc/whisper.credentials    0    0

/usr/local/etc/whisper.credentials includes:
username=xx
domain=XXX
password=mypass#

trying a "mount /home/xx/vol1" i get this error:
mount error(22): Invalid argument
Refer to the mount.cifs(8) manual page (e.g. man mount.cifs)

Now i removed the "password=mypass#"-line from
/usr/local/etc/whisper.credentials and the mount command asks me interactive
for a valid password. I enter my working password and i get an error too.

This setup worked 24 hours ago on a pc installed 2 days ago. Now i did a fresh
install and maybe i pulled newer version?
I am able to connect my remote drive in KDE and i am able tho copy files in KDE
but i am unable to use the mount command.
So at least i know my password is correct.
