Package: samba-vfs-modules
Version: 2:4.2.14+dfsg-0+deb8u5
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
A)
I was using samba 2:4.2.10+dfsg-0+deb8u3
With the glusterfs package from glusterfs site
(https://download.gluster.org/pub/gluster/glusterfs/LTM-3.10/Debian/jessie/apt/
) gluster version 3.10 installed, i can do :
apt-get source samba
apt-get -y build-dep samba
cd sambaXXX
debuild -us -uc
# in order to have the vfs shared lib
install via dpkg samba 4.2.10 and use for a share in smb.conf
kernel share modes = No
vfs objects = glusterfs
path = /%U
glusterfs:loglevel = 1
glusterfs:logfile = /var/log/samba/glusterfs-homes.log
glusterfs:volume = vnas_gluster_users
All fine;
B)
if i do this with samba 2:4.2.14+dfsg-0+deb8u5
smbd craches with :
[2017/04/07 11:15:04.003562, 0] ../source3/lib/dumpcore.c:318(dump_core)
dumping core in /var/log/samba/cores/smbd
