Thanks for the prompt reply.
Unfortunately the issue is not always easily reproducible, but I have been told it occurs more prominently when transferring small files. Here is the Samba configuration [1], and some error output [2].
Please let us know what we need from our users to debug this further.

I don't have much time currently to investigate.
Can you post your smb.conf here? Particularly the [automount template] section.
