The net cache flush command produce the following error:

root at v-smb-fs:~# net cache flush
Couldn't delete entry! key = SAFJOIN/DOMAIN/LAB.LOCAL

Then, there is no difference, the uid range remains honored unlike in my first test.

root at v-smb-fs:~# wbinfo --user-info=testusr
testusr:*:10001:10004:testusr:/data/testusr:/bin/false

root at v-smb-fs:~# wbinfo --uid-info=10001
testusr:*:10001:10004:testusr:/data/testusr:/bin/false

I also obtain the same result on a fresh install with samba 4.5.2+dfsg-2. It seems that I'm no longer able to reproduce the problem with this version.

I will do the same tests on 4.5.2+dfsg-1 and keep you updated on the result.
