Hi,
this is a followup for #910242 where B+R: libndr-standard0 was added.
I think I had rebuilt samba at that time to check whether the
Breaks+Replaces is sufficient to fix that bug. Unless I couldn't do
that because (I seem to vaguely remember) samba did FTBFS at that
time for unrelated reasons. And the fact that I didn't add a (tested)
patch (what I usually do for bugs found on multi-distro-upgrade paths)
to #910242 seems to indicate that, too.
>From the attached log (scroll to the bottom...):
Selecting previously unselected package samba-libs:amd64.
Preparing to unpack .../30-samba-libs_2%3a4.9.5+dfsg-4_amd64.deb ...
Unpacking samba-libs:amd64 (2:4.9.5+dfsg-4) ...
dpkg: error processing archive /tmp/apt-dpkg-install-cFuCOW/30-samba-libs_2%3a4.9.5+dfsg-4_amd64.deb (--unpack):
trying to overwrite '/usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libsamba-credentials.so.0.0.1', which is also in package libsamba-credentials0:amd64 4.0.0~beta2+dfsg1-3.2+deb7u2
dpkg-deb: error: paste subprocess was killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Anyway, I now could do test builds of samba and after a few iterations I
came up with the attached patch that fixed the upgrade path where I
experienced the problems.
Cheers,
Andreas
