No, that wasn't me.. 
But I did get that your where saying "the fix is works but is wrongly fixed.. 
And I leave that to you, your way more qualified for that then me.

The source i have from ftp.samba.org on cifs didn't have that patch in. 
The patch in this bug report, did work for me, so I pulled it from this bugreport.
