Usually we go in the other direction: move sources *out* of a package.
The security team doesn't like embedded sources whenever possible. Do
you think upstream is also moving in that direction, of stopping
independent development of ldb, or even recommending distributions to
not ship it?

sssd uses ldb, yeah, and doesn't have an embedded (and unused) copy of
ldb, like samba does.

Ah, you plan to build the ldb debs still, even libldb-dev, but from
src:samba? Ok, let me stop talking and go look at the MR :)
