Package: samba
Version: 2:4.20.2+dfsg-2
Severity: minor
Dear Maintainer,
The smbd and nmbd services throw the following warnings when they get started:
(smbd)[75315]: smbd.service: Referenced but unset environment variable evaluates to an empty string: SMBDOPTIONS
(nmbd)[75101]: nmbd.service: Referenced but unset environment variable evaluates to an empty string: NMBDOPTIONS
This seems to be a known issue; see:
https://lists.samba.org/archive/samba-technical/2023-December/138624.html
Would it be possible to silence these warnings using the solution mentioned in the link above?
Best regards,
Timo
