Bug#329943: SDL needs to output sound directly to pulseaudio

I realize this is an old bug. Anyways, I think it better to close this
one than to open a new one, at least if everything is OK now.

SDL sound is working great for me with Debian Wheesy. I am using
pulseadio on top of ALSA.

However, I noticed that SDL sound, i.e. sound from Gnash, appeared to
use the ALSA input plugin to pulseaudio. This seems to be a waste of
resources, as SDL can output sound directly to pulse. To achieve this
i installed
libsdl1.2debian-pulseaudio
to replace
libsdl1.2debian-alsa

This comes as no suprise, but more suprisingly, tjhis package is not
in the list of suggested pacages neither for pulseaudio or libpulse0.
This issue is perhaps worthy of a bug report towards theese packages?
I see that #605482 deals with this issue, and I will post a short note
there.

Adobe Flash uses the ALSA plugin to pulseaudio, or at least it does so
with my setup. Enabling Gnash to take full advantage of pulse would be
great.

Is anyone else experiencing problems with SDL sound as described in
this bug report?

Regards
;)Frode
