Debian SDL packaging: a short indroduction

Hello

[ As suggested by Hans De Goede, I've cc'ed Fedora's SDL maintainers. The more
the merrier :-) ]

Let's start the introduction game I've suggested recently :-)

My name is Dominique Dumont, I live in the south-east of France within the
mountains around Grenoble. I the proud father of 2 kids (who joyfully
contribute to my lack of bandwidth :-} )

I've been contributing to open-source for about 20 years. I've contributed a
lot of Perl modules, some kernel patches in DVB and Alsa, and some patches to
Augeas project. My main pet project is Config::Model, a great framework to
create configuration editors.

The last 3 years, I've been contributing more and more to Debian. I started by
packaging Perl modules (mostly Config::Model and its dependencies) and became
a Debian Developer in July. I also maintain some packages I need for my Home-
theater PC (e.g. lcdproc).

I now need up-to-date SDL packages. I've updated libsdl-perl recently (and
fixed some memory leaks). Unfortunately, it can only be released on
experimental (for now).

I'm now (one of) the admin of SDL packaging project. As my plate is quite
full, I cannot maintain all these packages myself, but be sure that I'll
participate in reviewing and sponsoring SDL packages for the team.

All the best

Dominique
