I think that the fact that you're using libc-2.17 from experimental
has something to do with this.  I read that there have been many
changes upstream in the last libc versions, and which may be causing
some trouble when trying to load .so files.

I don't think that the problem is really with sdl-mixer, the current
version was not touched for many months and there are hundreds of
applications depending on SDL libs on the archive.  Or if it is, that
it's because it's triggered by interactions with new libraries and not
what currently is in testing/unstable.

But you can leave it assigned here and I'll  look at it after the release.
