help with packaging SDL dependency libdecor

Dear SDL maintainers,

I am contributing to "libdecor" [1], a library for rendering client-side
decorations on Wayland. SDL plans to add support for this library once
it had an initial release [2].

I filled a wnpp for libdecor [3] but did not receive any response yet. I
am writing to you, the SDL package maintainers, directly to ask for
guidance on packaging libdecor as a dependency for SDL and get it
uploaded into the Debian archive. I already created a ppa for Ubuntu [4]
with the package definition from [5]. But I need someone to help me with
adapting this to Debian and someone with the upload rights to the
package archive.

libdecor will be useful to many Wayland clients that do not want to draw
their own decorations. However, SDL is currently the closest in adopting
this and it would be very useful to have this packaged and added as a
dependency, so that SDL can eventually use Wayland as default.

Best,
Christian
