I would only add it if something or someone needs it to be in Debian.
So if you are packaging a game that depends directly or indirectly on
it, or someone is writing a game using it and wants to depend on the a
Debian package of it. Game developers using Debian packages is pretty
rare, mostly they build it themselves and ship a copy of it with their
game or statically link it into their game.
SDL_gpu doesn't appear to very popular, on GitHub I only found one
game, one image viewer and two game engines that use SDL_gpu. One of
the game engines has a generic name that is too hard to search for
reverse dependencies. For the other one I found several games that use
it though.
