I installed dnsrecon for its advertised
"Enumerate Common mDNS records in the Local Network"
feature.

After looking around for it, I finally found this:

bjorn at miraculix:~$ zgrep -i mdns /usr/share/doc/dnsrecon/*
/usr/share/doc/dnsrecon/README.md.gz:- Removed mDNS enumeration due to the pybonjour library has been abandoned and faster ways are available to achieve enumeration of mDNS records in a sub-net.

Please update the package description when advertised features are
removed. Severity is set to 'important' since the package is
completely unusable as an mDNS record enumerator, while it
probably still is usuable as something else
